Privacy Policy

1. General

We value your privacy and designed Verse & Prose on the principle of collecting as little as possible. This policy explains what information the app processes, how it does so, and the choices available to you. This app is intended for users worldwide.

2. Your Content

The text and images you create are by default stored only locally on your device. When you turn on “iCloud Sync,” this content is stored in the private iCloud database under your own Apple Account, encrypted and managed by Apple; the developer cannot access, read, or export this content.

3. Location Information

Only when you actively add a location to a work does the app request your location once and convert it on-device into a “City · District” text, stored as metadata of the work. We do not store or upload your geographic coordinates. You can turn off location permission at any time in System Settings.

4. Photos and Fonts

Only when you choose to insert images does the app access the photos you select; the images are saved together with the work and are not separately uploaded to any server. Custom fonts you import are used only locally on your device and are not uploaded.

5. Anonymous Usage Statistics

To keep improving the product, we collect anonymous usage statistics (such as which features are used, number of exports, and so on). These statistics contain no information that could identify you, and never include your content.

6. What We Don’t Collect

We do not collect personally identifiable information such as your name, phone number, email, precise location, or advertising identifiers, and we do not sell or rent any of your data, or use it for third-party advertising.

7. Third-Party Services

Payments for subscriptions and purchases are handled by the Apple App Store and are subject to Apple’s privacy policy; we do not receive sensitive information such as your card number. iCloud Sync is provided by Apple and is subject to Apple’s terms and privacy policy.

8. Data Security, Retention, and Your Rights

Local data is deleted when the app is uninstalled; data in iCloud is controlled by your Apple Account, and deleting a work removes it from iCloud and your other devices, irreversibly. You can delete works, turn off sync, and revoke location or photo permission, controlling your data at any time.

9. Changes to This Policy

This policy may be updated from time to time; in the event of material changes, we will notify you within the app. You can view the latest version on the “About” page at any time.
